Definition:
A word war is a short timed challenge in which writers write as much as they can in a short period
The purpose is to challenge the fellow writers on this forum to write as much as you can!

The purpose of this thread:
The idea is that everyone sets up a goal for the amount of words that (s)he wants to write in (for example) a month. This can be for a story, a short story or whatever the hell you are writing. And then we try to reach that goal. In this thread you can encourage your fellow writers and, of course, start wordwars so you can force yourself to write in the form of a challenge with others. Everyone who reaches their set goal gets cookies from me!

Well just type a comment below and I will create a list with all the names, maybe the title of the story you are working on (HP or not, it doesn't really matter) and goals beside it.

How do I start a wordwar?
Well just ask in the thread if someone wants to join you for a word war for e.g. the coming hour. The purpose is to challenge others and get motivation if you get more words than them. It's actually a smart way to finish that story you always wanted to finish but were to lazy to do it. If the hour is over everyone posts the amount of words that (s)he typed in that hour to see the differences. And to congratulate each other of course.

Why this thread?
Because I know wordwars always motivate me, especially if I'm in a lazy mood, and it's just a lot of fun as well.

At the end of the month you can say your total wordcount and then we can see if you reached your goal or even got past it. If you reached your goal I will not only give you cookies but I will create a special list in the begin post where I put all the names of the ones that reached their goal. Like a Winnerslist or something. And then we can start for the next month!

Also: you don't have to be necessarily writing a story, you can just hop in and ask for people to do a wordwar with you for e.g. a column or a shortstory without setting a monthly goal.
